Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook with expertise in preparing Thai cuisine to join our team at Isaan Der. As a Line Cook specializing in Thai food, you will be responsible for executing our menu with precision and ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of taste, presentation, and quality. Your passion for Thai cuisine, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment will contribute to the success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook various Thai dishes according to our recipes, ensuring quality and consistency in flavor and presentation
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely preparation of all dishes
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and informing the Head Chef or Sous Chef of any shortages or discrepancies
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in your work area, including the proper storage of food, utensils, and equipment
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Assist in the creation and development of new menu items, incorporating your knowledge and creativity in Thai cuisine
- Support and assist other team members as needed, promoting a positive and cooperative work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, preferably with a focus on Thai cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of Thai ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
