Job Summary:
Isaan Der Thai Kitchen & Bar is seeking an experienced Thai Chef to join our team. As a Thai Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic Thai dishes, ensuring a high standard of food quality and taste. Your expertise in Thai cuisine will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant and leave a lasting impression on our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Thai dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, adhering to traditional recipes and techniques
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in food preparation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and innovative recipes while maintaining the authenticity of Thai cuisine
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food supplies, ensuring adequate stock for daily operations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and presentation of dishes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Thai culinary trends and techniques to continuously enhance the menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a Thai Chef, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- In-depth knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create and execute authentic Thai recipes, while also incorporating creativity and innovation
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
